You wouldn’t want to go to Six Flags with Michael Crichton! In 1990, the author wrote Jurassic Park — a story about a theme park where dinosaurs run amok. And nearly two decades earlier, Crichton also wrote and directed Westworld – a story about a fantasy theme park staffed by robots who rise up and kill their human masters. The story is a clear template for the later dinosaur tale, and was a hit movie that influenced many later works, including James Cameron’s Terminator.
