Where Jaws 2 stayed close to Amity and the Brody family playbook, 1983’s third installment packs up and heads to SeaWorld in Florida. Sheriff Brody is gone, and the focus shifts to his sons, Mike and Sean, as a new great white turns a high-tech underwater attraction into a feeding ground. Shot in 3-D and built around theme park spectacle, the film leans hard into early ’80s gimmickry. A young Dennis Quaid, Lea Thompson, and Oscar-winner Louis Gossett Jr. headline a sequel that clearly aimed to be the next big summer event.
