It seemed Indiana Jones had hung up his hat and whip for good after 1989’s Last Crusade, but in 2008, Ford dusted off the leather jacket for another adventure in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The new movie also featured Shia LaBeouf as the young greaser Mutt Williams, and Karen Allen returning to the series as Marion. Despite Spielberg and Lucas being back behind the camera, the film is widely derided and even launched the phrase “nuke the fridge.” Is the hate undeserved, or should Jones have been buried in the warehouse with the Lost Ark?
